2014-2015:

The program began July, 2014 and concluded June, 2015.

This year’s program theme was blocks depicting “Motion” with a finished block size of 12”. The blocks include rotary cutting, paper piecing, and templates. Members are encouraged to use their own setting ideas. We hope that members will show their finished quilt in the next MTQG quilt show.

Carol Trumpfheller and Jennifer Mees led the Block of the Month project and are pictured below with samples of the finished blocks.

The quilt shown below is Carol’s finished quilt top for this year. Photos of the monthly sample blocks appear beneath it.

Block of the Month 2014-2015:

Each month a new pattern will be provided for a quilt block. The patterns can be pieced, paper pieced, appliquéd, embroidered, etc. The blocks may be all of one theme or totally unrelated, as decided by the committee chair. Patterns can be easy, intermediate or challenging. The purpose is to provide education, inspiration and fun for our members. All block patterns are available on the website.
