At Octobers meeting we talked about Sewing Machine Feet Accessories.
Diane and I met, and as we looked at our accessories, we realize how similar and different sewing machine feet are for different machines. It is going to be a good discussion and we hope you will be able to join us.
At September’s New Member Group ‘s meeting:
Diane gave a great demonstration another way to make half square triangles, and everyone found, how easy and simple it was to interchange the triangles and a quilt. I gave a small lecture on cotton thread. The new members learned how cotton thread is determined, the difference in thread weight, and how to read the spool labels. It was very enjoyable to see how everyone was very
interested.
At August’s New Member Group meeting : Our guest speaker is Liz Hart, who is the Mini Group Coordinator of our Guild. She will be talking about the open Mini Groups and If
you are interested in joining or visiting a group, she will help in contacting the group chairperson. Also, I will be giving a small demonstration on batting.

The New Member Group met on Monday, March 2nd at the Granite Dells Club House in Prescott. We had a great turnout for “How to use the AccuQuilt Go! Cutter. Kathleen Bond gave an in depth presentation on how to use the machine; working with the templates and how to reserve for at home use. The demonstration was very informative and interactive with several members trying it out for themselves. New members now feel less intimidated with the machine and process. We even had a New Member take the machine home after our meeting. Special thanks to Kathleen Bond for an excellent demonstration!! New Members also learned how to navigate the Mountain Top Quilters Guild website to access all
of the entry forms for our upcoming quilt show. John Ramsey walked the group through all of the forms and answered numerous questions. There was a lot of interest and
excitement for the show. Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 6th from 1-3pm. A formal invitation will go out to New Members in the next 2 weeks.

New Member Group Meetings resumed on Monday, February 3rd at the Granite Dells Club House in Prescott after taking December and January off. We had a great turnout for the Stack and Whack demonstration from

using this technique and to understand how to choose the best fabric patterns. Great job Diana!! New Members also learned how to navigate
the Mountain Top Quilters Guild website with a demonstration using the video equipment and TV at the facility.
