Linda’s Update from Quilt Camp

While smaller in number at this camp, the 16 MTQG quilters still produced an estimated 15 tops for Community Quilts under the direction of Charlene Coxworth.  Many of them also worked on quilts and bags to be gifts for family members including Becky Renfroe’s dinosaur quilt for her grandson, Jan Adam’s Alaskan Mountains for her daughter-in-law, and Michele Schneider’s cork bag for her daughter-in-law.  Campers included regulars like Mary Jane Godwin, Bobbie Turnbow, Judy Larson, Deb Mulcahy, and Dona Speights, along with first timers Carolyn Seagraves-Wright and Kathy Oppelt.  We couldn’t have asked for nicer weather that first week in March.

Spring Camp is set for March 1-4, 2022, to be held at Chapel Rock, part of the Arizona Conference Center on Country Club Drive in Prescott, AZ. The camp’s committee is made up of Linda Marley, Jan Adams, Michele Schneider and Becky Renfroe. There are only 18 spots available. Signups begin at the January 17, 2022, meeting on a first come basis. At that time places will be held with a deposit of $145 along with these completed forms.

Cost for the camp will be $305 for those spending the night at the camp, with the balance of $160 due at the February meeting. However, we are making 3 slots available for day campers whose total cost will be just the initial deposit of $145. The cost covers lunch and dinner on Tuesday, Three meals on Wednesday and Thursday, and only breakfast on Friday, plus snacks and prizes. Additional signups will be  placed on a waiting list in case of cancellations. Come join us for lots of fun!

Please note deposits are non-refundable unless we find someone to fill your spot after the camp roster is filled.
