We’re making friendships and Friendship Quilts during this 2012-2013 Guild year. Check here often for ideas and updates!
Quilters are encouraged to bring Friendship Quilts to the regular monthly meetings as Show and Tell all year long! Photos will be posted here!
Think about your friends in MTQG. Think about all the friends you’ve made over the years who have gone off in other directions. Think about the friends you’ve left behind. What do those friendships mean to you? Let’s all make our ownblock quilt to honor those friendships! Let your quilt portray your idea of friendship!
Here are the rules for MTQG’s Friendship Quilt Challenge:
Quilt can be any size, any design (a printed pattern, a design of your own creation, or a combination of both). It’ll be YOUR quilt.
Completed Friendship quilt top OR completed quilt will be due at the MTQG meeting on June 17, 2013.
A membership vote for a favorite will take place at the June MTQG meeting.
Completed Friendship Challenge Quilts will be displayed together at the 2014 MTQG Quilt Show.
For starters, go to www.quiltindex.org and search Friendship Quilts and/or Signature Quilts!
Carolyn Edwards is leading this challenge. If you need more information, please email her or talk to her at the next general meeting.
