Block of the Month 2015-2016
2015-2016:
The program begins July 2015 and ends June, 2016.
This year’s Block of the Month will include one “floral applique” block and one pieced block. Each block will yield one 10 inch finished block. Each participant can make one or both the applique and pieced blocks each month, or opt to mix it up during the year of monthly blocks to make a pieced and appliqued quilt. Hopefully they will end up with a completed quilt (or just the top) to be shown in our June 2016 MTQG Quilt Show at the Prescott Valley Entertainment Center. It would be fun to see a special grouping at the show of our Block of the Month quilts.
Photos depicting samples of Marcia’s flower applique and Mary Jane Godwin’s pieced blocks will be pictured below, along with the pdf pattern files each month, beginning July 2016.

Block of the Month 2015-2016:
Each month a new pattern will be provided for a quilt block. The patterns can be pieced, paper pieced, appliquéd, embroidered, etc. The blocks may be all of one theme or totally unrelated, as decided by the committee chair. Patterns can be easy, intermediate or challenging. The purpose is to provide education, inspiration and fun for our members. All block patterns are available on the website.
