Deb’s journey has taken her through oil, watercolor, pen and ink, charcoal, mixed media, and eventually into the rich, tactile world of fiber art. She began quilting over 30 years ago, and her artistic spirit pushed her further than making traditional quilts. That passion led to the birth of DJ’s Fiber Arts (DJ being short for Debbie Jo). As an award-winning fiber and mixed media artist, she paints her own fabrics, layered with thread, and embellished using silk, wool, beads, paint, and natural elements.
